Boris : Vein (Hardcore & Drone)

Vein (hardcore) is Boris's take on the fuzzy, distorted extremes of Japanese hardcore. Minute long blasts of furious riffs & screams smothered in a lovely thick blanket of static and buzz. I quite enjoyed this release. The Drone version does less for me (it just sort of goes and goes and goes...wait, you mean that's the point of drone? Hmm.), but I've upped it for the sake of completeness.

Yeah, I also prefer the hardcore version (though I still listen to the drone version but not as often)

Yeah, I've tried to get into drone stuff, but I've just got to bite the bullet and admit I've got a short attention span.

Agreed. Boris is killer when they are in full throttle, rock mode, though. Thanks.

Yeah, I like everything by Boris, but I'm also a big fanboy. So I don't dislike the drone version, just prefer the crusty one!

I don't like both versions. :S

This album is very messy in my opinion. Messy in a bad way.

Won't quibble with 'messy', but what can I say--I like the sloppy fuzz.

Any chance someone can share an MP3 file of the drone version? I've been really searching for this. I've already got the hardcore version, but the completist in me really wants the other...Thanks!
