Taiho were a Japanese metal/hardcore 3-piece who released several albums around the turn of the millennium. Crunchy hardcore with gruffly sung vocals which remind me of Casbah and Cocobat and which are very characteristic of certain style of Japanese heavy bands. Fudge Gong is slightly more cleanly produced than '99's Chugalug, and features a couple of missteps when the band attempts to venture into more commercial territory, but for the most part provides some cool high energy and catchy metal/hc. Also I was contractually obligated to buy and post this due to the (brief) guest vocals from Tsukasa Harakawa.
