Compilation album of Japanese weirdness produced by Steve Albini, who also fronts for Zeni Geva & Superunit (which if I'm not wrong is also him and Zeni Geva) on both editions.
1. Suck My
Stomach - Ufo Or Die
2. In Your
Distinction - Volume Dealers
3. Inujini - Maria Kannon
4. Knafft!! - Ruins
5. Kettle Lake - Zeni Geva & Steve Albini
6. Painwise - Superunit
7. Mama - Funhouse
8. Twisted Yoyo - Omoide Hatoba
9. Thalidomide
Car - BOREDOMS
The same 9 groups contribute 1 song to each volume. Styles range from the spastic weirdness of the Boredoms, Ruins & UFO or Die (another Eye project) to the relatively straight-forward rock of Funhouse or Volume Dealer. Really good stuff all around with no duds and a few gems; definitely check out Maria Kannon, the dramatic and odd rock act (song titles: Die Like a Dog--that is to die meaninglessly or stupidly--and Village Where We Eat Each Other) which provides the track 3s.
1. Space Wrist - Ufo Or Die
2. Hanayashiki - Volume Dealers
3. Tomogui No
Mura - Maria Kannon
4. Redhark - Ruins
5. Kettle Lake - Superunit
6.`Til The End - Funhouse
7. Mega - Omoide Hatoba
8. Godflesh - Zeni Geva & Steve Albini
9. Mangun - BOREDOMS
